Roxanne Elizabeth Miller, 71, of Imperial died Dec. 17, 2016, and Ross George Miller, 74, of Imperial died Jan. 4, 2017. Mrs. Miller was born June 30, 1945, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Everett and Gloria (Shaw) Jenkins. She was a homemaker. Mr. Miller was born Aug. 18, 1942, in Belleville, Ill., the son of the late Oscar and Lucille (Hoffmann) Miller. He was retired after 37 years with Mallinckrodt in St. Louis and was employed part time with Safety Temps LTD/National Safety Consultants. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve. The Millers, who were married 51 years, were members of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Imperial.
They are survived by a daughter: Annette Miller of Festus; a son: Alan Miller of Fenton; three granddaughters: Brittanie Elizabeth Miller-Kottwitz, Mikayla Miller and Summer Miller, all of Festus; four great-grandchildren: Mekiah Miller, Layla Kottwitz, Noah Kottwitz and Nehemiah Kottwitz, all of Festus; Roxanne’s siblings: Kathleen (Angelo) Oldani of Barnhart, Diane (the late Russell Schodroski) of Imperial and Everett “Skip” (Linda) Jenkins of Columbia, Ill.; her half sisters: Alouise (Mark) Braun of Columbia, Ill., and Jean Ann Epperson of Edwardsville, Ill.; Ross’ brother: Gary (Kathleen) Miller of Mahomet, Ill.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
They were preceded in death by Roxanne’s sisters: Charmaine (the late Ralph) Schneider and infant Rene Jenkins; her stepmother: Dorothy Jenkins; a nephew: Angelo “Chip” Oldani; and a great-nephew: Gabriel Williams.
A celebration of life for the Millers is scheduled at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at the Imperial Elks Lodge, 1515 Miller Road, in Imperial. Memorials may be made to Sister Christine Food Pantry at St. Joseph Church. Arrangements were under the direction of American Mortuary in St. Louis.
