Rose S. Green, 87, of Imperial died Aug. 12, 2022, in Festus. Mrs. Green was a Lutheran and had worked as a licensed practical nurse. Born June 18, 1935, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Pauline (Wolters) and Theodore Rueffel. She was preceded in death by her husband: James R. Green.
She is survived by three children: Jim (Patricia) Green of Boston, Paula (Alan) Geis of Imperial and Bob (Judy) Green of Affton; a sister: Marie Call of Festus; seven grandchildren: Maury Council of Lake of the Ozarks, Matthew (Elaina) Vivian of Midlothian, Texas, Megan (Kevin) Andert of Baldwin, Maria (Travis) Schmidt of Festus and Jamie Green, Connor Green and Jack Green, all of Boston; and 10 great-grandchildren: Joshua (Ashley) Smith, Logan Council, Cameron Council, Henry Andert, Charles Andert, Samuel Andert, Eli Vivian, MacKenzie Schmidt, McKenna Schmidt, Marissa Hefele, Jimmy Hefele and Taylor Hefele.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Vikki Lawson; and a grandson: Lawrence Hefele.
A funeral service was held Aug. 16 at Kutis Funeral Home in south St. Louis County, officiated by Deacon Dave Scheafer. Burial was in the Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
