Ronnie Leon Blanchard, 75, of Festus died Dec. 27, 2017, at his home. Mr. Blanchard had worked at General Motors and was a member of Radiant Life Church in Festus. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing music. Born Aug. 5, 1942, in Gideon, he was the son of the late Hubert and Daisy Bell (Jordan) Blanchard.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Carol Ann (Cowart) Blanchard; a son: Tony Leon Blanchard of Festus; a daughter: Kristie Street of Festus; a brother: Johnny (Barb) Blanchard of Long Branch, Texas; two sisters: Rachel (Ron) Sherill of Clarkton and Margie Langley of Malden; and two grandchildren: Jordan Blanchard and Connor Street. He was preceded in death by a son: Burliss Blanchard; and six brothers: Burliss, Burlin, Jackie, Calvin, Clifford and Gary Blanchard.
Visitation is at 10 a.m. and a funeral service is schedule for 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus, officiated by Pastor Randy Gray. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to Radiant Life Church, 11533 Gamel Cemetery Road, Festus, 63028. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
