Ronald Herbert Eaves, 78, of Farmington died Dec. 20, 2021, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mr. Eaves served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965. He worked as a carpenter for 30 years and finished his career as the maintenance director for the Herculaneum School District. He had a passion for his horses, mules and dogs and enjoyed hunting, farming, cutting firewood, fixing things, telling stories and spending time with his friends and family. Born May 5, 1943, in Barnhart, he was the son of the late Emilie (Schmidt) and Herbert Eaves.
He is survived by his fiancée: Suzanne Budsick; two daughters: Kathy (Wayne Johnson) Williams and Christine (Dwight) Kraus; a sister: Evelyn (David) John; three grandchildren: Ron Williams, Meagan (Octavius) Knox and Abraham Kraus; three great-grandchildren: Reanna Vecera, Hayden Vecera and Bailey Knox; and two nephews: Jeffrey and Jason John. He was preceded in death by a brother: Richard Eaves; and two grandsons: Ryan Vecera and Noah Kraus.
A graveside service will be held Jan. 10. Arrangements are under the direction of Cozean Funeral Home in Farmington.
