Ronald H. Fowler, 81, of De Soto died Sept. 11, 2022, at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James. Mr. Fowler served in the U.S. Army Special Forces during the Vietnam War. He was a retired physical education teacher for the De Soto School District. Born April 9, 1941, in New York City, he was the son of the late Frank and Lillian (Stahl) Fowler and the stepson of the late Helen Fowler. He was preceded in death by his wife: Paulette “P.K.” (Buehler) Fowler.
He is survived by two children: Rock (Elena) Fowler of Austin, Texas, and Ty Fowler of Mountain Home, Ark.; four sisters: Stephanie, Dee Dee, Janet and Shelby; a brother: Darl; a brother-in-law: Tim (Cordie) Buehler; and two grandchildren: Aubrey Fowler and Emma Fowler.
Memorial visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Burial will take place at a later date in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
