Ronald D. Pierce, 58, of Festus died Feb. 11, 2016, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Pierce was an audio visual technician and a member of IATSE Local 143. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1721 in Crystal City and enjoyed playing golf, computers and sports. Born March 5, 1957, in De Soto, he was the son of Claude and Betty (Coonce) Pierce of Donna, Texas.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife: Cheryl (Kempa) Pierce of Festus; one child: Tonia Pierce West of Hillsboro; two siblings: Michael (Sharon) Pierce of Herculaneum and Larry Pierce of Potosi; a brother-in-law: Martin Kempa of Texas; and one grandchild: Mason West.
A funeral service was held Feb. 16 at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto, officiated by Michael Sacca. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
