Ronald D. Bremer, 80, of Hillsboro died Sept. 16, 2017, at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton. Mr. Bremer was retired from AT&T and had worked for Midwest Associates. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in De Soto and enjoyed woodworking and trout fishing. Born Dec. 15, 1936, in Lenzburg, Ill., he was the son of the late Anna (Albert) and Richard Bremer.
He is survived by his wife: Darlene (Kueker) Bremer of Hillsboro; three children: Kelly (Blaine) Whitehead of Hillsboro, Brian (Beverly) Bremer of St. Louis and Kevin (Connie) Bremer of Festus; 10 grandchildren: Katie, Scott, Andy, Josh, Zach, Rachel, Emily, Adam, Joseph and Matthew; and five great-grandchildren: Dakota, Chase, Kyla, Tyler and Tucker.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Wanda Dierks; and two brothers: Clinton and Richard Bremer.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1620 Boyd St., in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Dr. G. Michael Rose. Burial is in the Hillsboro City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
