Robin Leroy Chatman, 59, of Hillsboro died March 10, 2017, in San Diego, Calif. Mr. Chatman was a route salesman for a vending company. He was born Sept. 24, 1957, in St. Louis, the son of Chester L. “C.L.” and Rosalie A. (Ellis) Chatman of Hillsboro.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one child: Demetri (Josh) Gant of Hillsboro; a stepson: Christopher (Andrea) Simonton of Park Hills; two siblings: the Rev. Dane Chatman of Hillsboro and Drew Chatman of Hillsboro; three grandchildren: Dawson Bauer, McKenzie Simonton and Isabelle Simonton; three nieces: Belecia Worthy, Sky Chatman and Summer Chatman; and a nephew: Steven Chatman.
He was preceded in death by brother: Jeffery Chatman.
A funeral service was held March 20 at First Baptist Church of Hillsboro, officiated by the Rev. Wayne Norris. Burial was in the Peaceful Meadows Cemetery in Hillsboro. Memorials may be made to the UC San Diego Foundation, UCSD Gift Processing, 9500 Gilman Drive, 0940, La Jolla, CA 92093-0940; or to the American Lung Association, Donation Processing Center, PO Box 7000, Albert Lea, MN 56007-8001. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
