Roberta Bernice Mahue, 93, Festus

Roberta Bernice Mahue, 93, of Festus died Nov. 16, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Mahue worked with her late husband at Mahue Body Shop in Festus for more than 18 years painting cars and doing other body shop work. After retiring, she worked with her son at Tri-City Vet Care in Festus. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crystal City. Born Oct. 27, 1928, in Bloomsdale, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Basler) and Anthony Peter Naeger. She was proceeded in death by her husband: Joseph Albert Mahue.

She is survived by a son: Gary G. (Cecilia) Mahue of De Soto; a sister: Elaine “Boots” (the late Anthony) Viox of Ste. Genevieve; two grandchildren: Evelyn Mahue and Josh Mahue; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother: Alois (the late Mercedes) Naeger; and three sisters: Antoinette (the late Willis “Red”) Sansoucie, Henrietta (the late John) Leutzinger and Lucille Naeger.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday (Nov. 19) at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 20) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 555 Bailey Road, in Crystal City, officiated by Father Gregory Klump. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to masses or to Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
