Robert Wallace Hagensieker, 81, of Festus died June 10, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Hagensieker was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and worked as a journeyman union carpenter. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and helping veterans and was a member of several bike clubs. Born Aug. 14, 1940, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Virginia (Casper) and Eugene Hagensieker.
He is survived by his wife: Betsy (Smith) Hagensieker; four sons: Daniel Hagensieker of Wisconsin, Kevin Hagensieker of Eagle River, Alaska, Shawn Cearnal of Baxter Springs, Kan., and Adam (Jessica) Adair of St. Charles; a daughter: AmyKaye (Anthony) Stacy of Key Largo, Fla; and two siblings: David Hagensieker of Florida and Pamela (Gary) Bouce of south St. Louis County. He is preceded in death by his brother Michael Hagensieker.
A graveside memorial service with full military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 5,in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to 22 Down Below, a nonprofit veterans organization. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
