Robert Paul Davis, 88, of Festus died Aug. 2, 2016, at his home. Mr. Davis worked in the polishing department for Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. He also was a U.S. Army veteran. Born Aug. 10, 1927, in Illinois, he was the son of the late Maude Evelyn (Doyle) and Frank M. Davis. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Elaine Sarah (Garber) Davis.
He is survived by his wife: Donna (Rowden) Davis; three sons: Gary (Linda) Reifsteck of Festus, Dan (Tina) Reifsteck of Crystal City and Robert (Shelly) Davis of Pevely; three daughters: Jodi (David) Politte of Festus, Jill Briley of Festus and Lee Anah Rowden of Festus; three sisters: Mary (the late Lester) Richie of Granite City, Ill., Georgia (the late Russell) Vaughn of Appleton, Wis., and Donna Lee (Tom) Harris of South Carolina; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by four brothers: William J. (the late Mary) Davis, Earl H. Davis, David Davis and Frank K. (Mary “Freda”) Davis.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., Festus. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at the funeral home, officiated by Randy Gray. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to a local Humane Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
