Robert Lee Francis “Bob” Barry, 78, of Dittmer died April 11, 2022, at his home. Mr. Barry served in the Missouri National Guard and was a member of the Teamsters and the Machinists Union. He was an active member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in De Soto. Born March 25, 1944, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Dorothy (Kneapp) and Francis Patrick Barry.
He is survived by his wife of almost 55 years: Mary (Quinlan) Barry; two sons: Kevin M. Barry of Ellisville and Michael J. Barry of O’Fallon; a daughter: Susan J. Griesemer of Springfield; three sisters: Marilu Berry, Patricia Sabo and Elaine Tsugita; four grandsons: Nathan, Matthew, Colin and Will; and four granddaughters: Riley, Meghan, Erin and Claire.
A rosary service will begin at 10:30 a.m. and a funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 22, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 504 S. Third St., in De Soto. Memorials may be made in the form of Masses in Mr. Barry’s honor. Arrangements are under the direction Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
