Gaulden, Robert

Robert Bruce Gaulden, 77, of Pevely died Aug. 19, 2017, at his home. Mr. Gaulden was a union painter for Local 115 Council 2. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of VFW Post 3777 in Crystal City. He enjoyed computer games. Born Feb. 20, 1940, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Martha (Mann) and Clifford Gaulden.

He is survived by his wife: Barbara (Winstead) Gaulden of Pevely; four sons: Stephen (Lily) Gaulden of Honolulu, Hawaii, John Gaulden of Ladson, S.C., Thomas Gaulden of Weatherford, Texas, and Craig Gaulden of Fenton; a daughter: JoAnne Gaulden of Pevely; three brothers: Clifford (Patricia) Gaulden of Fenton, Joe (Doris) Gaulden of Florissant and James Gaulden of St. Louis; three sisters: Mary (Darrell) Van Hooster of Florissant, Lois Stiver of Lake of the Ozarks and Marsha (James) Nelson of High Ridge; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers: Paul, Andrew John, Ray and Edward Gaulden.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks, 2900 Sheridan Rd., in St. Louis County. Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 3450 Park Ave., St. Louis, 63104. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
