Robert Alan Brewer, 78, of Barnhart died March 16, 2020, at his home. Mr. Brewer was a retired city truck driver and a member of Teamsters Local 682. He was an avid poker player, a hot rodder and car collector, and owned a pool hall. He also was a member of the Elks Lodge. Born Jan. 15, 1942, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Robert J. and Francis S. (Kilgore) Brewer.
He is survived by his wife: Linda L. (Hall) Brewer; three children: Robert A. Brewer Jr,. of De Soto, Terry Brewer of De Soto and John J. Brewer of Barnhart; a sister: Joyce Ann Pingel of O’Fallon; three grandchildren: Jessica, Jacob and Hannah Brewer; two step-grandchildren: Joe Boyer and Terra Richardson; three step-great-grandchildren: Charlotte Boyer, Brody Richardson and Kasen Richardson; nieces and nephews Kristen and Joey Monte, Stephen and Bianca Kooi and Lauren and Michael Alley; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by a son: Richard J. Brewer; and his grandparents: Barbara and James Brewer and Elizabeth and Birl Kilgore.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the ASPCA. Arrangements were under the direction of Cypress Pointe Cremation in St. Louis County.
