Rita M. Fechner, 64, of Belleview died Oct. 29, 2022, in Belleview. Mrs. Fechner worked in the food and restaurant industry for most of her life. She enjoyed playing golf, swimming, dancing and walking. Born June 9, 1958, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late John “Bud” and Florence M. (Palucci) Dorlac.
She is survived by two sons: Jeremiah Garrison and Joshua Garrison, both of Houston, Texas; four brothers: Edward Dorlac of Herculaneum, Paul Dorlac of Arnold, Ray Jackie Dorlac of Warrenton and Al Dorlac of Hillsboro; three sisters: Joanne (Rich) Berger of St. Louis, Mary Lambing of Farmington and Adele (Mike) Hollingsworth of Rolla; her stepmother: Dorothy Dorlac of De Soto; a stepbrother: Tom (Vickie) Haynes of De Soto; two stepsisters: Phyllis (Jeff) Alexander of St. Louis and Jackie Juliette of St. Clair; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister: Delores Thebeau.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at Peaceful Ridge Cemetery, North Hwy. 110, in De Soto. Memorials may be made to Comtrea, 4 Hickory Ridge Road #600, Hillsboro, 63050. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
