Rita Jo Slezak, 70, of Fenton died Feb. 10, 2018. Mrs. Slezak was a lifelong member of St. Paul Catholic Church of Fenton. She left her longtime office job to help care for her parents and brother until their deaths. She enjoyed classic cars and entering her own vehicles in shows, baking and donating cakes and animals, including her cat, Fluffy. Born March 5, 1947, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rita (Mraz) Block. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years: Donald Slezak.
She is survived by a sister: Karen Block; and many godchildren, cousins, aunts, uncles, siblings-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
She also was preceded in death by a brother: Alan Block.
Funeral Mass was Feb. 15 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Burial was at St. Paul Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Open Door Animal Sanctuary or the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Paul Catholic Church. Arrangements were under the direction of Fieser Funeral Home, Fenton.
