Rick David Beardsley, 52, of St. Louis, formerly of Imperial, died Jan. 28, 2014, at his home.
He was a computer analyst for the U.S. Air Force and a gifted musician. He was a 1979 Fox High School graduate and was the class valedictorian.
Born July 25, 1961, in Poplar Bluff, he was the son of James (Kay) Beardsley of St. Jacob, Ill., and the late Carolyn (Green) Beardsley, both former Fox School District teachers.
In addition to his father, Mr. Beardsley is survived by a brother: Rohn Beardsley of St. Louis; a sister: Judi (Ken Cunningham) Beardsley of Arnold; two nieces: Alexis Beardsley and Rebecca Cunningham; an uncle: Ray (Elaine) Payne; and three cousins: Sharon Payne and Robert and William King.
Mr. Beardsley also was preceded in death by a cousin: Becky King.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, at Kutis.
Burial will be at 3 p.m. Feb. 3 at Puxico City Cemetery in Puxico.
