Richard W. Summers, 42, of House Springs died Oct. 22, 2016, in Manteca, Calif., from injuries he received in a motorcycle accident. Mr. Summers was a carpenter and worked in construction. Born Aug. 8, 1974, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Carl and Patricia (Summers) Barnett.
He is survived by his wife: Michelle (Thomas) Summers; two stepdaughters: Maradian Thomas and Ashley Smith; two brothers: Robert Summers of Nixa and Randy Summers of Festus; three sisters: Laurie Summers of Festus, Mandy Summers Estes of Branson and Christine Summers of Branson; one grandchild: Xavier Thomas; eight nieces; and five nephews.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at Disciples Fellowship Church, 2408 Gravois Road, in High Ridge, officiated by the Rev. Pat Hemmingway, a family friend. Memorials may be made to the family.
