Richard “Rick” Warren Pigg, 63, of Hillsboro died March 15, 2018, at his home. Mr. Pigg was retired from the Missouri Department of Transportation where he worked in maintenance for 17 years. He also had worked for the Jefferson County Highway Department. He received a private pilot license in 2000, and he enjoyed flying, fishing and working outdoors. He also loved spending time with his grandsons. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Hillsboro.

Born Sept. 18, 1954, in Bonne Terre, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Leah Pigg.

He is survived by his wife: Cynthia (Blaylock) Pigg of Hillsboro; two daughters: Kelly (Eric) Bartch of De Soto and Amanda (Doug) Marler of De Soto; two brothers: Bob (Brenda) Pigg of De Soto and Ed (Tammy) Pigg of Kokomo, Ind.; two sisters: Donna Frazier of Big Sandy, Tenn., and Ellen Hayes of Festus; a special aunt: Phyllis Perkins of Steelville; one brother-in-law: Steve Martino of Phoenix, Ariz.; and three grandsons: Jake, Nate and Aidan.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Jackie Witwicky and Jane Martino; and two brothers-in-law: Sam Frasier and Warren Hayes.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, March 19, at Mahn De Soto Chapel, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 703 Third St., in Hillsboro, with Father Christopher Holtmann officiating. Burial will be at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Hillsboro. Memorials may be made to the Missouri Department of Conservation, P.O. Box 180, Jefferson City, 65102-0180. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
