Richard D. Trojhan, 81, of De Soto died May 7, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Trojhan was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired foreman for the Jefferson County Highway Department. He was a life member of Amvets Post 48 and Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Post 689. Born Sept. 11, 1939, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Joseph and Florence (Mory) Trojhan.
He is survived by his wife: Bessie (Boyer) Trojhan of De Soto; two children: Michael (Kelly) and Adam, both of De Soto; three stepchildren: Penny (the late Lloyd) Ipock of De Soto, Tammy (Randy) Harper of Festus and Ricky (Debbie) Dollar of Festus; three siblings: Gus (Candy) Trojhan, Sharon (Jack) and Susan (John) Smith; and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Joseph Trojhan; and two grandchildren: Melany Dollar and Jason Dollar.
A memorial service will be held at noon Sunday, June 6, at De Soto Elks Lodge Post 689,1520 Clarke St., in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
