Richard Allen Pinckard, 71, of Arnold died Dec. 6, 2020, at his home. Mr. Pinckard was a carpenter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a member of American Legion Post 283. He enjoyed building things, helping others build things, hunting and spending time with family. Born Oct. 10, 1949, in Hillsboro, he was the son of the late B.W. “Bill” and Lucille (McMickle) Pinckard. He was preceded in death by his wife: Almeda Rose (Harper) Pinckard.
He is survived by a daughter: Amy (Jeremy) McManus of Fayetteville, Ark.; five brothers: Donald (Beverly) Pinckard of De Soto, Gary (Shelley) Pinckard of Festus, Bart (Jenny) Pinckard of O’Fallon, Craig Pinckard of De Soto and Eric Pinckard of Arnold; three sisters: Blanche Ellen Coomer, Shirley (Ken) Mobes and Connie Pinckard, all of California; two grandchildren: Brittany McManus and Hunter McManus of Fayetteville, Ark.; three great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Bobby Pinckard and Karl Pinckard; and a sister: Sharon Lee Pinckard.
There will be no formal service at this time. Mr. Pinckard will be laid to rest with his wife and parents at Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to Camp Hope for Veterans or to the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
