Costello, Richard

Richard A. Costello, 75, of Blackwell died March 13, 2017 at his home. Mr. Costello was a truck driver for Midwest Petroleum and a member of Teamsters Local 618. He also was a member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church in De Soto. Born Feb. 2, 1942, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Albert and Marie (Cantanzaro) Costello. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Carol Costello.

He is survived by his wife: Ann (Harkey) Garner Costello of Blackwell; three children: Richard (Robin) Costello of Robertsville, Tracey (Keith) Costello of Robertsville and Cindy Costello of Cedar Hill; two stepchildren: Kurt (Joan) Frischman of St. Louis and Kim (Mike) Kingsland of Blackwell; five grandchildren: Jacob, Nicole, Sean, Misty and Cody; 10 step-grandchildren: Kristina, Kyle, Anthony, Aleesha, Khristopher, Ashley, Kurt, Kelsey, Austin and Brycen; four great-grandchildren: Kaitlynn, Jacob, Crystal and Carol;  six step-great-grandchildren: Koby, Macy, Jordan, Colin, Kylee and Ayla; and two siblings: Pat (the late James) Dorn of St. Louis and Nancy (Al) Waddel of Imperial.

He was also preceded in death by a stepson: Kevin (Cheryl survives) Frischman; and two siblings: Jackie (the late Bud) Ward and Catherine Regal.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
