Reva Mary Bowers, 97, of Festus died March 26, 2016, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Bowers was born Oct. 29, 1918, in Flat River, the daughter of the late Mary (Stanfield) and Richard Reeder. She was preceded in death by her husband: Ray Allen Bowers Sr.
She is survived by a daughter: Tamara (the late David) Anderson of Festus; a son: Ray A. Bowers Jr. of St. Louis County; one granddaughter: Lisa St. Clair of Festus; and two great-grandchildren: Amy St. Clair and Trevor St. Clair. She was preceded in death by one grandson: Thomas “Fred” St. Clair; three sisters; and four brothers.
A funeral service was held March 28 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus, officiated by the Rev. Justin Metiva. Burial was in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
