Rebecca Nicole “Nikki” Coplin, 41, of Herculaneum died April 21, 2019, at Evelyn’s House in Creve Coeur. Ms. Coplin was a member of the Community Church of Jefferson County in Pevely. She worked as a law office secretary. Born Jan. 27, 1978, in Crystal City, she was the daughter of Christenna (Miller) (Joseph) McCoy of Herculaneum and the late Herman Edward Coplin.
She was preceded in death by a son: Drake Joseph Portell, and her fiance: Charles E. Brown, Jr.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter: Lani Nicole Meyer of Arnold; a son: Charles Eldon Brown III of Herculaneum; a sister: Michelle (Gary “Jackie”) Miller of Cape Girardeau; a brother: Keith Edward Coplin of Pevely; three step-siblings: Melissa (Tim Haley) Korte, Michael (Michelle) McCoy and Brian McCoy; numerous nieces and nephews, two great-nephews, a great-niece and friends.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 26, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Mary Williams of Community Church of Jefferson County. Burial will be in Presbyterian/Methodist Cemetery in Festus. Memorials may be made to Evelyn’s House, 1000 North Mason Road, Creve Coeur, Mo., 63141. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home.
