Raymon Loyd Cothern II, 52, of Williamsville died Aug. 23, 2015, at his home. Mr. Cothern was a mechanic for a towing company. He also did tree work, carpentry and spent a few years as an over-the-road truck driver. He also served as a volunteer firefighter in Williamsville and Greenville. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, tree work, outside work, and spending time with his family. Mr. Cothern accepted Jesus into his heart and was saved on April 5 at Bethel Baptist Church in Greenville. Born May 7, 1963, he was the son of Betty Yates Cothern and the late Raymon Cothern Sr.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife: Kasey (Lyttle) Cothern; a son: Raymon Cothern III of Poplar Bluff; a daughter: Angela Cothern of Arnold; four brothers: Dale (Theresa) Bunyard of Williamsville, Doug Bunyard of St. Clair, Roy Cothern of Arnold and Matthew Cothern of St. Clair; a sister: Sherri (Ron) Mabrey of Arnold; and an uncle: Robert (Igeana) Yates of Dittmer. A granddaughter is expected in October.
Funeral services were held Aug. 26 at Ruegg Funeral Home in Piedmont. Burial was in the Carson Hill Cemetery near Mill Spring. Arrangements were under the direction of Ruegg Funeral Home.
