Ray H. Wolf Jr., 75, of Hillsboro died Feb. 26, 2017, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Wolf was a registered nurse who worked for 30 years at the John Cochran and Jefferson Barracks V.A. hospitals. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he enjoyed singing and playing the piano and organ. He also loved animals, including his dogs Costello, Jessie, Max, Bandit and Bella. Born Sept. 10, 1941, in East St. Louis, Ill., he was the son of the late Ray and Ava (Boyer) Wolf.

He is survived by his wife: Marlene (Schwent) Wolf; five sons: Mark (Penny) Wolf of Marathon, Fla., Dale (Angelica) Wolf of Sarasota, Fla., Ray (Mori) Wolf III of Newnan, Ga., David Martin of Festus and Adam (Jennifer) Martin of Hillsboro; 10 grandchildren: Ryan, Hayley, Jacob, Isaac, Laura, Justin, Victoria, Olivia, Alexander and Alexandria; and a great-grandchild: Aryan.

Memorial services will be held later. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel, Festus.
