Rachel I. McCullough, 98, of Lompoc, Calif., died Jan. 4, 2017, at the Lompoc Comprehensive Care Center. Mrs. McCullough was born Dec. 10, 1918, in Washington County, the daughter of the late Elmer and Fannie Pinson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley McCullough, who died in 2001.
She is survived by three children: Galena (Vincent) Coleman of Festus, Sharon (David) Blackwell of Terre du Lac and Patricia (Barry) Coughlin of Solana Beach, Calif.; a half sister: Georgia Norgard; a half brother: Glennon Pinson; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Sue Murphy; a son: Dennis McCullough; six brothers: Lindel, Lester, Ira, Elmon, Donald and Vernon; two sisters: Frieda Lane and Jesse Lee Thorne; and six half siblings: June McAnally, Gary Pinson, Neal Pinson, Stanley Pinson and Herman Blasingame.
Funeral services were private. Burial was in Lompoc, Calif. Arrangements were under the direction of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary in Lompoc.
