Frye, Pauline

Pauline V. Frye, 96, of De Soto died Jan. 8, 2016, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Frye was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of De Soto, where she taught Sunday school. She was a life member of Amvets Post 48 Auxiliary and helped start the first Well Baby Clinic in De Soto with the late Dr. Harold Donnell. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed watching and worshiping with the Joel Osteen Ministry. Born July 10, 1919, in Richwoods, she was the daughter of the late Peter Graham and Agnes (Roderick) Graham Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Edward Frye.

She is survived by a daughter: Jessica (Dean Marston) DeProw of De Soto; two grandchildren: Rob Crawford Jr. of De Soto and Melissa (Jacob) Spruell of De Soto; and six great-grandchildren: Lauren, Joshua, Danny III, Eric, Brayden and Sophia.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto, officiated by Derry Bowling. Burial is in the Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the De Soto Food Pantry. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
