Paul Racer, 72, of Imperial died April 29, 2017, at his home. Mr. Racer was a retired truck driver for ABF Trucking and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Highcrest United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 283, Elvins Ionic Lodge 154, Scottish Rite and the Shriners. Born March 8, 1945, in Leadington, he was the son of the late Paul Henry and Bethel Lucille (Evans) Racer.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Alberta (Sedgwick) Racer; a daughter: Kimberly (Scott) Albritton; a son: Jeff (Angie) Racer; four grandchildren: Randye Uhlmann, Jesse Uhlmann, Jayme Uhlmann and Jacob Huber; and a sister: Wilma “Eileen” Fingers.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Monday, May 1, at C.Z. Boyer and Son Caldwell Chapel, 711 E. Main St., in Park Hills. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Judy Jeffrey. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements were under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home.
