Paul Franklin Burgan, 74, of Festus died Sept. 2, 2020, at his home. Mr. Burgan was known as the gadget man and the King of Buck Knob. He was a collector of many things, including model cars, and enjoyed cooking, fishing and gardening. He was born Dec. 13, 1945, on Buck Knob near Festus, the son of the late Dorothy Mae (Martin) and Albert Burgan.
He is survived by a niece: Amy Moon; a nephew: Michael Burgan; three great-nephews: Jacob, Silas and Elijah; a great-niece: Scarlett; many cousins; and his dog, Henry.
He was preceded in death by a brother: John Raymond (Ramona “Monie” survives of Bloomsdale) Burgan; and a nephew: John Raymond Burgan Jr.
Graveside services were held Sept. 4 at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City, officiated by Pastor Luke Morris. Memorials may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
