Patsy Ruth “Pat” Posch, 95, Festus

Patsy Ruth “Pat” Posch, 95, of Festus died Jan. 10, 2022, at her home. Mrs. Posch was a clerk for Posch’s variety store, a PPG glass worker, and served with her mom at the White Grill Restaurant. Then, she retired after more than 20 years as an office manager for J.C. Penny Co., in the St. Louis area. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Festus-Crystal City. She enjoyed gardening, painting, drawing, having family meals and spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered for her strong faith. Born Oct. 31, 1926, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Martin) and Albert Stephen Schwent.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Theodore K. “Ted” Posch Jr.

She is survived by a daughter: Linda (Garry) Crow of Festus; a son: Michael (Marilyn) Posch of Fort Myers, Fla.; six grandchildren: Adam (Jen Guffey) Breeze, Lane Breeze, Sam (Marissa) Breeze, Kay (Jody) Darling, Matthew (Elizabeth) Crow and Julie (Tim) Eager; and 12 great-grandchildren: Quinn, Lauren, Clara, Henry and Louis Breeze, Jack and Clark Darling, Alek and Aksel Crow, Jeffrey Monat, and Claire and Sammy Eager.

She was preceded in death by three sisters: Margie (the late Sam) Bono, Nina (the late Charles) Murdick and Mary Alice (the late Sam) Soult.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 15) at First Baptist Church of Festus-Crystal City, 107 N. Truman Blvd., in Crystal City, officiated by the Rev. Carey Jones. Burial will be in Fairview Christian Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Samaritan’s Purse International Relief. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
