Patricia Ann (Steele) Miller, 61, St. Louis

Patricia Ann (Steele) Miller, 61, of Cedar Hill died Feb. 25, 2020, in at her home. Mrs. Miller worked as a waitress while she was in college, graduating from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 1988. She worked as an educator for the Northwest R-1 School District from 1986 until her retirement in 2017. She was a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Northwest Education Association and will be posthumously inducted as a Distinguished Educator to the Northwest Alumni Hall of Fame. Born Oct. 17, 1958, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Mary Anne Steele.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years: Jerry Miller Sr.; two sons: Jerry (Dee) Miller Jr. and Jacob (Erika) Miller; a daughter: Heather; and numerous grandchildren and step-grandchildren: Emma Lynn, Haylie Marie, Amber Lynn, Kaelyn Ann, Erika Rose, Christian Matthew, Caden Riley, James, Domi and Brooke.

Mrs. Miller was one of six children, and her siblings included: Rose Karn, Linda Chandler, Norma Roodhouse, Larry Steele and Jerri Lynn Schaefer.

She was preceded in death by a grandson: Tyler Shane.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy 30, in Cedar Hill. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, at the mortuary. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill. Memorials may be made to a scholarship in her name for students in the at-risk program at Northwest High School. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
