Grohs, Pamela

Pamela Ann Grohs, 58, of Carrollton, formerly of Crystal City, died June 23, 2021, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Mich. Mrs. Grohs was a special education teacher. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Carrollton. Born Aug. 1, 1962, in Pevely, she was the daughter of Patricia (Tobin) Goodwin of Pevely and the late Harry Doyle Goodwin.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 38 years: Scott Grohs of Carrollton; five children: Jennifer Aldrich of Carrollton, Joanna (Jacky) Miller of Chillicothe, William (Lauren) Grohs of Ashland, Katherine (Clint) Whitney of Carrollton and Leah Grohs of Carrollton; four siblings: Cindy (Danny) Rundel of Louisburg, Kan., Harry (Michelle) Goodwin of Louisburg, Kan., Cheryl (Brian) Snell of Robertsville and Sean (Tonya) Goodwin of Pevely; and seven grandchildren: Layla Aldrich, Peyton Aldrich, Rowdy Miller, Ellaina Jo Miller, Samuel Grohs, Griffin Grohs, and Lucille Whitney. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Sydney Jo Miller.

A rosary service is at 5:30 p.m. and visitation at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 1, at Bittiker Funeral Home, 1201 North 65 Hwy., in Carrollton. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 2, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 211 Shanklin St., in Carrollton, officiated by Father Ken Criqui. Burial is in the Evergreen Cemetery in DeWitt. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Bittiker Funeral Home.
