Otto George Salisbury, 83, of Hermitage, Tenn., died Aug. 7, 2017, at his home. Mr. Salisbury was a furniture and carpet salesman who served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed fishing, baseball and football. Born Aug. 1, 1934, in De Soto, he was the son of the late Della (Roberts) and Otto Salisbury Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Esther “Midge” (Cain) Salisbury of Hermitage, Tenn.; a niece: Pam (Brett) Grill of Festus; a great-nephew: Dustin Drennen of Hermitage; a brother: Butch Salisbury of De Soto; two brothers-in-law: Billy Cain of Hillsboro and Albert (Jackie) Cain of De Soto; two sisters-in-law: Bernice Thebeau of De Soto and Maxine Drennen of De Soto; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son: Terry Otto Salisbury; a brother: Harold Salisbury; and a sister: Dorsalene Moss.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at Mahn De Soto Chapel, 900 N. Main St., followed immediately by funeral services officiated by Pastor Ron Sutton. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the service at the De Soto Community Center. 400 Boyd St. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
