Orville James “Jim” Coaley Jr., 67, of Crystal City died Aug. 16, 2016, at his home. Mr. Coaley worked as a supervisor at Dow Chemical in Pevely. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and enjoyed fishing and helping others. Born July 25, 1949, in St Louis, he was the son of the late Orville and Evelyn (Autsen) Coaley, Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years: Patricia (Mira) Coaley of Crystal City; two sons: Shannon (Shannon) Coaley of Hillsboro and Clint (Tonya) Coaley of Festus; a daughter: Brandy (Matthew) Wells of Hillsboro; two brothers: Robert Coaley of Imperial and Chris Coaley of Las Vegas, Nev.; a sister: Cynthia Coaley of Hillsboro; and nine grandchildren: Ashlyn, Christopher, Jack, Isaiah, Wyatt, Ryan, Jake, Chloe and Emma.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Dan Coaley.
Visitation is at 10 a.m. and a memorial service is scheduled for noon Saturday, Aug. 20, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins, in Festus, officiated by Chaplain John Davis.
