Oliver J. Moser, 86, of Festus died Nov. 8, 2017, at Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur. Mr. Moser was a retired glassworker from Pittsburg Plate Glass Company’s former Crystal City plant. Born May 1, 1931, in Crystal City, he was the son of the late Rosie E. (Carron) and Gilbert John Moser Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife: Agnes Augusta (Basler) Moser.
He is survived by five daughters: Diane (Jerry) Stoverink of Festus, Denise (Don) LaRue of Chesterfield, Janet (John) Althauser of Urbana, Ill., Linda (Tom) Schmitt of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Joan (Clem) Radin of Festus; three sons: Steven (Karen) Moser of Alabama, Francis Moser of Festus and Douglas (Pam) Moser of Wildwood; two sisters-in-law: Verneda Moser of Festus and Linda Moser of Hillsboro; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a sister: Nira Moser of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Clifford J. Moser and Gilbert J. Moser; and four sisters: Marie (the late David) Middleton, Margaret (the late Ed) Miller, Betty Ann (the late Alfred) Pullen and RitaMae E. Moser.
Private family services were held with burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
