Parker, Ola

Ola Sinclair Parker, 97, of Farmington died March 28, 2017, at Camelot Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Farmington. Mrs. Parker was a Farmington Elementary School Teacher and a past secretary of MSTA. She was also a longtime member of Memorial United Methodist Church of Farmington and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. Born Jan. 28, 1920, in Redford, she was the daughter of the late Netta Ann (Evans) and Edward Franklin Thurmon. She was preceded in death by two husbands: Harold Sinclair, who died in 1972, and Meredith M. Parker, who died in 2011.

She is survived by a daughter: Sandra Sinclair (Jim) Pruneau, of Crystal City; two stepdaughters: Janice Warnack of Overland and Judith (Charles) Tate of St. Ann; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter: Ann Edgar; three sisters; and nine brothers.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, April 3, at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Farmington, officiated by Glen Wright. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Taylor Funeral Service in Farmington.
