Shane M. Kuykendall Sr., 53, of Festus died Nov. 2, 2025, at his home. Mr. Kuykendall was a truck driver for Pazdera Trucking. Born Jan. 3, 1972, in Granite City, Ill., he was the son of the late Rhonda (Davis) Schutte and Harry Kuykendall. He was the stepson of the late David Schutte.
He is survived by his spouse: Margaret "Margie" (Patterson) Kuykendall of Festus; four children: Shannon Greer of Potosi, Shane "Bubby" (Carissa Handegan) Kuykendall Jr. of French Village, Amanda Kuykendall of Festus and John (Heather) Kuykendall of Festus; 11 grandchildren: Alexa, Amelia, Cordell, Piper, Ryker, Ryler, Kyzer, Ryver, Johnathan, Lexi and Autumn; and a brother: Joshua Kuykendall of St. Louis.
Visitation will be from noon until services at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N Main, in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
