Shirley Mae (Sansoucie) Bowman, 76, of Fenton died May 9, 2023. Mrs. Bowman was a teacher at Fox High School in Arnold for more than 35 years. After retiring from the public school system, she went on to teach preschool at The Goddard School for 10 years. Born April 15, 1947, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Eileen M. (Smith) and Johnnie J. Sansoucie. She was preceded in death by her husband: Allan L. Bowman.
She is survived by a daughter: Jennifer Bowman of Arkansas; and three siblings: Dorrine Cushman of Chapel Hill, N.C., the Rev. Dr. Larry (Cheryl Burton) Sansoucie of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Connie Sansoucie-Goddard of Michigan.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 18, at the funeral home. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Hoffmeister South County Chapel.
