Sallie Strother (Hollingsworth) Meine, 64, of Hillsboro died June 8, 2023, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Meine had a passion for music and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered for her infectious spirit, her toughness and her warm and accepting nature. Born Sept. 9, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Brunson and Nancy (Moss) Hollingsworth.
She is survived by her husband: James M. Meine; five children: David (Mandi) Talley, Rachel Mason, Jeremiah (Jeri) Harmon, Jennifer (Josh) Zesch and Lindsay Moore; 10 grandchildren: David Talley, Ben Talley, Broghan Mason, Tim Harmon, Danika Harmon, Max Zesch, Aydan More, Willow More, Alexis Smith and Caitlyn Smith; seven brothers; three sisters; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a grandson: Phoenix Mason.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 1 p.m. until a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins, in Festus. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
