Richard D. Midgett, 60, of De Soto died May 17, 2023, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Midgett was a CNA at Festus Manor. Born Jan. 26, 1963, in De Soto, he was the son of the late Ellis and Lillian (Beers) Midgett.
He is survived by five siblings: Donna (David) Lucas of De Soto, Dennis (Pam) Midgett of De Soto, David (Ramona) Midgett of Imperial, Tammy Midgett of De Soto and Douglas (Joanne) Midgett of Old Mines; 10 nieces and nephews; 18 great-nieces and -nephews; and 1 great-great-niece. He was preceded in death by a sister: Connie Reynolds; a brother: Arthur Midgett; and a niece: Jessica Midgett.
A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, May 27, at Life Church, 12312 Hwy. 21, in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
