Randall Wayne “Randy” Skaggs Sr., 68, of Festus died July 29, 2023, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Skaggs was a retired manager with AT&T and a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Ste. Genevieve. He coached women’s basketball for Jefferson College and Mineral Area College. He was. Born July 30, 1954, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Eva Louise (Cage) and Wayne Travis Skaggs.
He is survived by his wife: Constance “Connie” (Fischer) Skaggs; three children: Randall (Holly) Skaggs Jr., Gabriel (Amber) Skaggs and Danielle (Michael) Manasco, all of Festus; a sister: Kelley (Pastor Tim) Gray of Arnold; seven grandchildren: Chloe Skaggs, Taylor Habsieger, Austin Habsieger, Elizabeth Skaggs, Parizzitta Skaggs, Wyatt Johnson and Millicent Manasco; an aunt: Trula Skaggs; and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by two granddaughters: Ruby Laine and Analise Manasco.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 200 Market Street, in Ste. Genevieve, officiated by Pastor Craig Reiter. Burial is in the Brown Cemetery in St. Mary. Memorials may be made to Open Door Animal Sanctuary or to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
