Karen Jo Spencer, 58, of Crystal City died May 17, 2023, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Spencer enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach, where she loved to swim. She also loved connecting with family and friends on Facebook. She was born May 14, 1965, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Cleata Joann (Ray) and Kenneth Lee Allen.
She is survived by her husband: Ronnie Spencer of Crystal City; a son: Nicholas Allen of Arnold; three siblings: Sandy (Steve) Hodges of Cuba, Mo., Jimmy Allen of Paragould, Ark., and Kim Allen of St. Clair; four grandchildren: Mariah, Cierra, Nicholas Jr. “Bubba” and Isaiah; and lifelong friends April Widman, Dottie Webb and Kay Pennington. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Christina Marie Allen; a brother: Steve Allen; and a sister: Mindy Grable.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
