William Frederick “Bill” Ehrlich Jr., 95, of Arnold died Aug. 27, 2024. Mr. Ehrlich attended Roosevelt High School, Washington University and Michigan State University. He served in the U.S. Army in the occupation of Japan and was also a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from the H.J. Heinz Co. as a regional sales manager. He was a past president and board member of Jeffco Subcrafting and was a member of Chapter 3 Korean War Veterans. He was a lifelong layman in the ELCA Lutheran Church. He loved camping, playing cards, fishing, reading and traveling the world with his wife, Alveda. Born on Oct. 30, 1928, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late William and Theresa Ehrlich.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years: Alveda M. (Jeude) Ehrlich; four children: Donna (Tom) Marusak, Diane Ehrlich, Daryl (Lori) Ehrlich and Doreen (Duane) Redder; nine grandchildren: Brian, Kevin, Trisha, Rick, Doug, Tyler, Shelby, Garret and Shannon; 14 great-grandchildren: William, Landon, Lyla, Andrew, Lucas, Alexander, Lillian, Allison, Arlington, Jude, Joey, Cecilia, Gus, Lucy and one great-grandchild on the way; and many other family members and friends.
Services were held Aug. 31. Burial was in Emmanuel Cemetery in Pevely. Memorials may be made to Family of Christ Lutheran Church, 810 US Hwy 61-67, in Imperial and to the Korean War Veterans Association, 3 Black Skimmer Ct., Beaufort, SC 29907. Arrangements were under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
