Virginia Mae Boxdorfer, 89, of Barnhart died Dec. 11, 2024. Mrs. Boxdorfer worked in human resources at Home Service Oil Co. for many years. Born April 20, 1935, in Perryville, she was the daughter of the late Frank Joseph and Anna Mae (Pecaut) Buchheit.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Roy Lee Boxdorfer.
She is survived by four children: June Kriese, Joan (Keith) Oestricker, Patty (Will) Boxdorfer and Roi-Ann (Daryl) Black; four siblings: Jim Buchheit, Donnie Buchheit, Larry Buchheit and Mike Buchheit; 10 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by a son: Frank (Debi survives) Boxdorfer; a great-grandchild: Gage Boxdorfer; and two siblings: Paul Buchheit and Emma Jean Rodgers.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at the Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6020 Old Antonia Road, in Imperial, 63052. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Imperial. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
