Virginia Diane Schaper, 63, of De Soto died Feb. 5, 2024. Born Aug. 16, 1960, in Rolla, Mrs. Schaper was the daughter of the late Phyllis Joseph (Brandt) and Oliver E. Kernick.
She is survived by her husband of over 40 years: Richard J. "Rick" Schaper of De Soto; a son: Adam E. Schaper of Brooklyn, NY; a daughter: Katrine J. (Giono) Luck of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister: Kathleen Kernick of Warrenton; four grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Mahn Funeral Home De Soto Chapel, 900 N. Main St. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Dave Spillman. Burial will follow in Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
