Valinda Anne “Val” (Landers) Jerome, 63, of High Ridge died March 5, 2026, in Arnold. Mrs. Jerome will be remembered for her loving heart, kindness, compassion and strong faith. She was known to offer encouragement, a listening ear and a caring spirit when one needed it. She was also a friend of “Bill W” for 38 years. She enjoyed reading the Bible and traveling and exploring new places. Most of all, she loved spending time with and creating many memories with her family, especially her grandchildren. Born March 7, 1962, in Oceanside, Calif., she was the daughter of the late Jack and Waunita (Eckvall) Landers.
She is survived by her husband: Scott A Jerome; two children: Alicia (Phil) Radin and Erica (Kevin) Anderson; six grandchildren: Maximus Iliff, Makail Iliff, Gwyn Radin, Joslyn Radin, Susannah Doerr and Kinzlee Anderson; two siblings: Venus Daugherty and Vance Landers; and numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. A funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
