Thelma Darlene Sansoucie, 88, of Arnold died June 5, 2025. Mrs. Sansoucie was a certified medical technician at a local nursing home. She enjoyed feeding squirrels and chipmunks in her yard, gardening, cooking her homemade beans and cornbread and spending time with her dog, Daisy, friends and family, especially playing Monopoly with her great-granddaughter. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion and warm hugs. Born May 12, 1937, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Sadie Ethel (Strickland) and James John Rawson.
She is survived by four children: Linda Hamlett, Debra (Leslie) Sundhausen, Karen (Ron) Watkins and Fred (girlfriend Kathy) Hamlett; a granddaughter: Stephanie (Billy) Lyerla, who provided comfort to her in her later years; and a great-granddaughter: Abby Lyerla.
She was preceded in death by two sons: David Sansoucie and Robert (Bobby) Sansoucie; and her siblings.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until services at noon, Monday, June 9, at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home, 313 Benham St., in Bonne Terre, officiated by Deacon Dwayne Stark. Memorials may be made to a local animal shelter or ACG Hospice. Burial will follow in Bonne Terre Cemetery in Bonne Terre. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home.
