Sylvia L. "Sibby" Rowe, 79, of Festus died March 31, 2024, at Missouri Baptist Hospital. Mrs. Rowe worked as a clerk at the Herculaneum Drug Store, the IGA Grocery Store in Herculaneum and the Hamel and Rowe Hardware Store in De Soto. She was also a talented cake decorator and artist and taught cake decorating courses at Jefferson College. Born Feb. 15, 1945, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Horn) and Lawrence Hill.
She is survived by her husband: Lindell Phillip “Phil” Rowe Jr. of Festus; a child: Jeff Rowe of De Soto; two sisters: Sharon Rapp of Pevely and Barbara Hill of Festus; two brothers: Larry Hill and Randy Hill, both of Festus; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son: Jason Rowe; and a sister: Carol Huckie Keller.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until funeral services at noon Thursday, April 4, at Dietrich-Mothershead Chapel, 220 N. Main, in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Gene Moses. Burial will be in Rowe Cemetery in Valles Mines.
