Pashia, Susan

Susan Marie Pashia, 71, of Owensville died April 8, 2025. Mrs. Pashia was a 1972 graduate of Fox High School. She earned her bachelor of science degree in education in 1976 from the University of Missouri in Columbia. After college, she worked in education and the private sector. After moving to Owensville, she taught marketing at Gasconade County RII from 1992 to 1998. During that time, she wrote several grants for computer labs and taught students and staff how to use them for learning and teaching. She was promoted to technology director in 1998 and created a technology network and program for students and staff. She loved visiting national parks and historic sites, gardening, learning new crafts and watching football. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and hosting gatherings for holidays and other occasions. Born Sept. 25, 1953, she was the daughter of Virginia Smith of Arnold and the late Robert Smith.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband: Dennis Pashia; a child: Christine (Steve) Ferris of Kansas City; a sibling: Stephen (Shari) Smith of Eureka; and many other family members and friends.

Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a celebration of life service at noon Tuesday, April 22, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
